FRP TubeAxial Fan

FRP TubeAxial Fans are designed for corrosive environments, contaminated air streams, moisture laden air, and for process ventilation.

DESIGN FEATURES: The New York Blower Company’s FRP TubeAxial Fans feature Fiberglass airstream construction, FRP airfoil impeller providing aerodynamically efficient performance, fiberglass Flanged inlet and outlet, 316 stainless steel shaft and hardware, FRP motor cover and guard, High and low pressure models, TEFC industrial duty motors, Sizes range from 12” to 60”, extended lube lines, EPDM double lip shaft seal, 100C / 212 F max. operating temperature. Capacities to 60,000 CFM and Pressures to 5” WG SP.

ACCESSORIES/OPTIONS: FRP Vane section, Polyethylene screen, FRP roof curb, FRP intake / exhaust hood, FRP Inspection door, FRP Mounting legs, FRP Horizontal mounting brackets, FRP Vertical mounting brackets, Disconnect switch, FRP stack cap, Vibration isolators, Explosion proof & special duty motors.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: Fans shall be model FAIB Belt Drive Tubeaxial Fans and of the size and capacity as indicated on the drawings and fan schedule. Fans shall be rated and tested in accordance with ANSI/AMCA Standard 210. All motors and electrical components shall conform to NEMA standards.

FAN HOUSING: Fan housing shall be constructed of UV inhibited Hetron 99 P polyester resin with Class I flame spread of 25 or less. Fan housing interior surface shall be protected with a layer of synthetic surfacing veil. Fan belt tube shall be completely sealed, and shall isolate the bearings from ambient and/or contaminated airstreams. Fan housing and motor base shall be protected by a fiberglass motor cover. Fan housing shall be constructed with integrally molded flanged ends.

FAN IMPELLER: Axial impeller shall be constructed of fiberglass and have airfoil, helical design shaped blades secured to a fiberglass hub assembly. Blade pitch angles shall be factory set. Axial impeller hub shall be designed to incorporate a split taper bushing, and be keyed directly to motor shaft. Bushing shall be protected by a removable fiberglass cap.

FAN MOTOR AND DRIVE: Motor shall be TEFC industrial duty and conform to NEMA standards. Motor shall be of voltage, horsepower, RPM and enclosure as indicated in the fan schedule. Fan sheaves shall be cast iron and appropriately sized and aligned. Fan belts shall be static conducting, plus oil and heat resistant. Fan shaft shall be 316 stainless steel with polypropylene shaft seal. Fan shaft bearings shall be lubricated, self-aligning ball or roller type with external grease fittings. Bearings shall have a minimum L10 life of 50,000 hours.

OPTIONAL FAN ACCESSORIES: Where indicated, fan shall be provided with the following optional accessories: Vane section, Graphite impregnation with static grounding, Polyethylene screen, Disconnect switch, FRP roof curb, FRP stack cap, FRP intake / exhaust hood, Vibration isolators, FRP Inspection door, Mounting legs, Mounting brackets, Motors - Horizontal - Explosion proof; Vertical - Special duty.

FAN TESTING: Axial impeller shall be balanced and mounted in fan assembly. Fan assembly shall be run and tested prior to shipment. A test report shall be maintained on file for each individual fan.

AMCA SEAL and LABELS: The New York Blower Company certifies that the FRP TubeAxial Fans are licensed to bear the AMCA Seal. The ratings shown are based on tests and procedures performed in accordance with AMCA Publication 211 and comply with the requirements of the AMCA Certified Ratings Program.
