Type PFDC Air Supply Hooded Power Roof Ventilator

APPLICATIONS: Type PSNCFA36, Supply, Belt Drive, Hooded Power Roof Ventilator with Formed Steel Blades and Type RPFDC36 / PFDC36, Reversible Supply or Exhaust, Direct Drive, Hooded Power Roof Ventilator with Cast Aluminum Airfoil Blades manufactured by Farm Products Division of American CoolAir Corporation are designed for Controlled Environmental Systems of farm buildings to provide make-up air fresh air supply for farm buildings and greenhouses.

CONSTRUCTION:Type PFDC 36 Fan incorporate Style CDC fan components. Bird/insect screen, or filter section in the hood is used to screen and filtrate the make-up air. The motor and drive components are accessible through the removable side panel. The ventilators utilize a cross-frame to support fan motor. The cast aluminum adjustable pitch premium efficiency airfoil blades are securely attached to the cast aluminum hub. All blade assemblies are dynamically balanced.

MATERIALS: The PFDC 36 assembly and curb cap are fabricated of heavy gauge steel. Dampers are constructed of aluminum. The roof curb is made of galvanized steel with fiberglass insulation. Painted parts are coated after the American Coolair five-stage pretreatment system prior to the application of the thermosetting epoxy powder paint with an average thickness of 3 mils, baked at 400°F for smooth and durable finish. Parts can be fabricated also out of mill finish (silver) aluminum

BELT DRIVE: Belt driven models use V-Belts with Variable Pitch Pulles which allows fan speed adjustment.

MOTORS:The American Coolair air-over-motor design provides extra capacity and economy because it serves to dissipate heat and thus increase horsepower capability. Totally enclosed motors are standard. Several alternatives, such as explosion proof motors, two speed, energy efficient motors and severe duty motors, are available. Only nationally recognized brand motors with nationwide service facilities are used.

WIRING: Type PFDC 36 features a conduit through the curb cap for convenience in connecting power supply. If a safety disconnect switch accessory is specified, it is mounted above curb cap and attached to the conduit for a rain-resistant connection and switch enclosure.

CERTIFICATION:All Types PE vntilators are listed under UL705 – E39944 by Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. to U.S. and Canadian safety standards. AMERICAN COOLAIR CORPORATION certifies that the performance data for the type PSNCFA, RPFDC and PFDC fan models is based on tests conducted in an accredited laboratory in accordance with ANSI/AMCA Standard 210-85.

Type PSDC Direct Drive Make-Up Air Hooded Ventilator

APPLICATIONS: American CoolAir Type PSDC ventilators are designed for low maintenance and maximum efficiency, ease of damper installation and a uniform appearance for both air supply and exhaust roof ventilators. The fan unit is elevated above the roof curb, eliminating the possible damper clearance problem, and the backdraft damper should be mounted in the standard roof curb. Motorized and gravity activated back-draft dampers could be used. There are no bearings to lubricate and belts to exchange. The unit can also be specified less the fan component for use as a gravity supply, or relief ventilator.

CONSTRUCTION:Type PSDC PRVs incorporate Style C fan components for models in the 18 inch to 60 inch sizes. A PSDC unit can be converted to PEDC, and vice versa, after the unit has been installed. Bird/insect screen, or filter section in the hood is used to screen and filtrate the make-up air. The motor and prop components are accessible through the removable side panel. The ventilators utilize cast aluminum adjustable pitch prop directly mounted on the motor shaft. Motor bearings are prelubricated, or supplied with external grease fittings. All blade assemblies are dynamically balanced.

MATERIALS: The PSDC assembly and curb cap are fabricated of heavy gauge steel.

DIRECT DRIVE: Direct drive models use motors in standard NEMA frames. Performance can be adjusted by changing the number of blades and by adjusting blade pitch.

Totally enclosed motors are standard. Several alternatives, such as explosion proof motors, two speed, energy efficient motors and severe duty motors, are available.
